IT WAS WINTER  early 2018 when I was approached by a client - we'll call him Dr. Chuck - with a very unique project. Over the years, Dr. Chuck had accumulated an impressive collection of original paintings, he felt that it was now time to document and share this vast body of work, that which he'd been fortunate to enjoy. The collection of over 70 original paintings were to be photographed, edited, retouched, and formatted for both web and print. Upon completion, the compilation of images would become a curated photo book, featuring each piece along with a detailed account of its history, provided by the artist herself.

This project was especially important to Dr. Chuck and his family, as the artist was his sister, Nancy Hoke. The personal library of paintings he had amassed represented a lifetime of shared memories and connected experiences, all expressed through Nancy's unparalleled talent and creativity.

Ultimately, Dr. Chuck wanted to document and share his private collection of Nancy's work with his entire family...a very large family with lots of friends and lots of coffee tables.
